Vị carries many meanings, but for us it is about the taste of home – the taste of a cuisine that focuses on the freshness of ingredients, the balancing of yin and yang, and meals that feature a combination of the five fundamental tastes (ngũ vị): sweet, salty, bitter, sour, and spicy, and most importantly, are made with love.
Vị Restaurant is our way of carrying these traditions forward. The recipes, flavours, and values that we inherited from home continue to live in our kitchen here in Schliersee. Through every dish we serve, we hope to share a small part of the Vietnam we know and love.
From the national dish to the specialties of each region, we explore the highlights of Vietnamese cuisine through a variety of regional dishes, from bánh xèo (crispy pancake) to nem cua bể (crab spring rolls), as well as staple dishes made with rice and noodles.
Just like our moms and grandmothers who went to the market twice a day to ensure the freshness of every ingredient, we place the same focus on quality. Everything served at our table is carefully selected from trusted suppliers and delivered fresh daily.
At Vị, traditional patterned tiles, dark wood furnishings, and natural materials come together in a space inspired by both rustic and Indochine design.
We have created this interior with the hope of offering a warm and cosy dining experience, where good food, comfort, and hospitality can be enjoyed together.
